How to play Spoke

The Spoke game board consists of 4 words, one vertical, one horizontal, and two diagonal. They all share a middle tile of the same letter. Enter a 5 letter word and press Enter, and each letter will drop down on the board until the square that it is in meets one of these conditions:

  1. The square is part of a word that contains the letter in that square, and the square snaps into place and turns orange (this behavior cannot happen in the middle column)
  2. The square is part of a word that has the letter in the square in that location in the word, and the letter becomes green and no other letters can snap into place there.
If the word does not drop, it means the word is not in the dictionary availible at /words.json or not in the dictionaryapi.dev API. The goal is to complete every word and turn every letter green!
